The TrainA train is today most likely the less likely choice of state to state transportation to any person in the world, but when the streets are clogged with cars, planes are grounded, boats are impossible to get too, and walking will get you killed, a train can be the only safe way to travel. Luckily for me, in a world plagued with the undead, I no longer had to walk the streets of the U.S., I could ride safely on a train to the next closest safe zone. It was a luxurious train, one that a person back in the day of travel by train would pay hundreds to ride. The HotelI stood at the balcony of the candlelight hotel room we had been rounded up into by the local police and National Guard. I stared out into the city watching flashes of gunfire and explosions go off as they did their best to guard the block we all were on against waves of undead. I watched amazed at first before a policeman gently pulled me back into the hotel room by my shoulder, asking me to stay clear of the rails that the building was old and they make break. I complied naturally, making my way to the bed they had provided for me. I looked about at the others in the room, families, couples, single people, and kids of all ages. I watched thThe Hotel
The WallA wall, a wall covered in writing, graffiti, and notes from those who were either evacuating now or had all ready left the city. I was one of those who had just arrived to resupply and try to find some faster way then walking from place to place. There were millions of us walking the crowded and dirty streets hoping for some kind of sign that could tell us which way we should go. No soldier there could give me a clear answer, they all seemed as confused as us, but they assured me “Help is on the way”, and I replied the same way every time, I just walked away.
